2025 U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifying

Practice Rounds:

 

 Dates & Times

  • Based on availability at the host club’s discretion – please contact the golf shop at (781) 741-5127 to schedule a starting time - no walk-up times will be available.
    • Weekend availability will be limited.
    • No practice rounds will be available on the following dates:
      • July 17th
      • August 17th
      • August 16th
      • August 15th
      • July 25 thru 28th

 

Caddies

  • Consideration to take a Boston Golf Club caddie is strongly encouraged for both practice rounds and qualifying rounds. Please inquire with the golf shop for more information.
  • All practice rounds will be WALKING ONLY. 
  • Push/pull carts will not be permitted during both the practice round and qualifying round.

 

Notes

  • There will be a mandatory trail fee of $40 (credit card only).
  • Practice rounds are for competitors only – no guests, caddies, etc. will be permitted.
  • Competitors may be paired up with other qualifying competitors during their practice round.
  • Only one ball may be played per competitor during their practice round.
  • Only the warm-up range will be available ahead of practice round and closes daily at 1:30pm.

 

Starting Times:  Play will begin at 9:00am off the 1st tee. Pairings & Starting Times will be available after the close of entries and can be accessed by clicking the "Starting Times & Parings" tab above. There will be no registration on the day of the event, please report to your scheduled starting tee to receive local rules, hole locations, scorecard, etc. at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Withdrawals: To withdraw from a qualifier, please login to the USGA Portal and click WITHDRAW and select the championship and reason for withdrawing. If applicable, any refund will be processed within 5-7 business days. Once submitted, all withdrawals are final. If you need to withdraw within 48 hours of the qualifier, please also e-mail Grace McKinnon at gmckinnon@massgolf.org.

 

Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 3 Qualifying Spot(s) and 2 Alternate Spots. Qualifying players will advance to the to the 44th U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship at Troon Country Club (Scottsdale, AZ). 

 

Distance Devices: The use of distance measuring devices is permitted.

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation will NOT be permitted during the player's round. Pull/push carts will NOT be permitted.

 

Caddies: Players are encouraged to employ a Boston Golf Club caddie, please inquire with the golf shop directly for additional details/availability.

 

Competition Tees/ Yardage: Competition Tees & Yardage are approximate and subject to change. Play will be approximately from 7,105 yards (Championship Tees) (Par 71). 

 

Golf Shop, Locker Room and Practice Facilities: The warm up range (limited distance - 185 yards) will be open and available at 6:30am. 

 

Food & Beverage: Will be available at the player's expense.

 

Dress Code: Please observe the USGA dress code as stated in the application. 

 

*Please review the 2025 USGA Hard Card and other championship regulations located under the tab labeled "Player Information" prior to competition.

 

*There will be no registration on the day of the event - please report to your scheduled starting hole to receive local rules, scorecard, etc. 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
